What is liver cancer ?

Most cancers are named after the part of the body where the cancer started. Primary liver cancer occurs when liver cells to change and become malignant. It comes from the heart not the result of spread (metastasis). Metastasis occurs when cancer cells originating from other parts of the human body spread to the liver. How does this form of liver cancer ?

  • Unexplained fever is also a common symptom.
  • Ascites or edema ( fluid accumulation in the abdominal cavity of the peritoneum which causes the bloating ) . This fluid usually contains high protein content and possibly mixed with blood.

What are the possible complications can occur ?

Metastasis – the cancer can spread to other parts of the body.
What is the prognosis for liver cancer ? Average liver cancer patients was reported to survive only for a period of 4-8 months after diagnosis . Severity of liver cancer, liver damage caused by hepatitis B early or reliability of alcohol consumption and cancer surgery through, will determine the survival of patients with liver cancer. How can liver cancer be prevented?
